Find out what's happening in your soil!

Learn how to use a microscope to view soils and composts, look at the different soil structures and the microbes that thrive in healthy soil, prepare a slide for viewing, and how to evaluate your findings.

  • Receive videos to watch at your own pace.

  • 2 live zoom sessions including Q+A with instructor, John Duke.

  • 1 hands-on in person session at Ocean Hour Farm in Newport, RI

  • Upon completion of course participants will have the opportunity to add on microscope and kit

  • Cost includes a 1 year membership to NOFA RI

Dates:

  • Zoom session 1: Thursday Nov 5, 6-7:30pm

  • Zoom session 2: Thursday Nov 12, 6-7:30pm

  • In person session (Newport, RI): Thursday Nov 19, 9am-3pm

Cost:

$50 including a year membership to NOFA RI and opportunity to add microscope and materials kit upon course completion.
